Pre-Order Policy


What is a Pre-Order?

A pre-order allows you to purchase an item before it arrives to our warehouse.

Pre-orders are commonly used for:

  • new product releases
  • restock of popular items
  • made-to-order production runs

Placing a pre-order ensures that your item is reserved and guaranteed, as stock is often limited and may sell out before it arrives.

Pre-order items are clearly marked on the product page along with an estimated dispatch timeframe.

 

When Will My Pre-Order Be Sent?

Each pre-order product listing will include an estimated dispatch window (for example: “Ships late March” or “6-8 weeks”).

Please note:

  • dispatch dates are estimates only
  • time frames may vary slightly due to production or courier & custom delays
  • we will update customers if there are unexpected changes

Once your pre-order arrives to our warehouse, it will be processed and dispatched within 1–3 business days.

You will receive shipping confirmation and tracking link once your parcel has been sent.


Orders Containing Pre-Order + In-Stock Items

If your order includes both:

✔ pre-order items

✔ in-stock items

your order will be shipped together when the pre-order item is ready.

This helps reduce shipping cost and packaging waste.

If you would like your in-stock items shipped earlier, please place separate orders.


Pre-Order Payments

Pre-orders are paid for at the time of purchase.

This reserves your item in our incoming stock. Payment confirms your order and goes toward production or allocation of inventory.

 

Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

Once a pre-order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled or changed, including:

  • style or colour changes
  • switching items
  • refund due to change of mind

This is because stock is ordered and allocated specifically for you.

However, your rights under Australian Consumer Law still apply.

If your item is:

  • faulty
  • damaged
  • not as described

we will replace, or refund in line with our Returns Policy.


Shipping Delays & Timeframe Variations

Pre-order dates are provided as a guide only.

Delays may occur due to:

  • manufacturing or supplier delays
  • customs inspections
  • international freight delays
  • seasonal / peak courier periods

We appreciate your patience while your item is on its way.

If there is a significant unexpected delay, we will notify you by email.


Shipping Responsibility & Tracking

Once your pre-order has been dispatched:

  • tracking information will be emailed to you
  • delivery timeframes are dependent on the courier
  • Māhuri Line is not responsible for delays during transit
